The end product was done in Adobe Flash. Design the shell for an enhanced e-book trilogy that will allow the user to find information about the series, the individual books, and set establish a mood prior to reading. The design should show the following user flow: Reveal main screen, investigate options, select one, transition to new content, investigate options, select one, reveal additional information, investigate any new options, return to the main screen.

• Solve reoccurring visual communication problems in information navigation: what is the breadth of the content, what is the relationship of the visible content to the breadth of the content, what are the actions available at any moment, what are the possible results of those actions, what are the consequences of those actions?

This is the home screen, when the objects on the mantle are rolled over, the objects glow and the text related to that object replaces the main text and appears in the mirror above until rolled out, being again replaced by the home text.
We only had to design for one chosen path through the trilogy, I chose the first book in the series, and my personal favorite, The Witching Hour. This is the menu screen for that book.
This is the screen for the selected option of "Book Text."
This is the screen for the selection "Character Bios." Again like in the first screen, the rollovers act in the same way, just without the glow, where when rolled over, the character's names appear in the center picture frame. The frames and pictures are based on the Mayfair family tree and the characters description's in the actual book and I tried to stay true to the time era they represent.
